Now in its 9th year, Toronto the Good is an annual party that brings together a broad cross-section of Torontonians who are interested in the city and how it is built. The first Toronto the Good parties took place at the Distillery District, but soon began “invading” other spaces too: Hart House, for example, where we held a conference on Tower Renewal, and Fort York, where the Mayor shot off a cannon.
This year we invade the Carlu to celebrate one of Canada’s greatest Art Moderne interiors, a style that would have been very much at home in historic Detroit.
The party will feature presentation displays from Spacing Magazine, Culture of Outports, Parks People, Friends of Allan Gardens, Tower Renewal, and a number of our friends from Detroit. There will also be delicious hors d’oevres, a Detroit-inspired cocktail, and very good music.
