Toronto the Good is a party thrown each year by ERA Architects (and friends) to celebrate Toronto and contemplate its history and evolution with fellow architects, designers, thinkers, and urban-minded people.
This year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of Jane’s Walk – a festival of free, citizen-led walking tours inspired by Jane Jacobs – on the 100th anniversary of Jane Jacobs’ birthday.
The following day ERA, in partnership with the Canadian National Committee of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and Ryerson University’s School of Urban and Regional Planning, will lead the Heritage and Democracy: Bringing Heritage out of History and into the City symposium. The morning will begin with a Jane’s Walk (specially curated for the event) and continue with a set of workshops discussing tactical heritage urbanism. (REGISTER HERE THROUGH EVENTBRITE).
Join us for free hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, and a lively crowd of people passionate about design and civic engagement in Toronto. Admission is free but registration is required.
There will be birthday cake.
When: Thursday, May 5, 2016, 6:00pm – 11:00pm.
Please note that registration is required for entry into the party.
